These calendar posters were designed based on my favourite artist David Tao for a class project.
He plays R&B mainly. I was inspired by my favorite song of him, "Beach".
It was a sad song, so I used blue as the main color tone in this project as blue sometimes means sadness.

The distributed type and the ink represents the idea of his music movement.
I used the most representative element of his lastest outfit, which is his hair style, to be the key element.
I also gave it more space between letters in order to play with the white space to help the whole composition to be optical balanced.
